Custom size mattresses, made to measure in Britain

When a standard mattress simply won’t fit, we make one that does. My Bespoke Mattress handcrafts custom size and made-to-measure mattresses to your measurements and shape — for antique beds, loft conversions, awkward alcoves, oversized frames and everything in between. British craftsmanship in every one.

What we make

Made for the beds standard sizes can’t fit

Antique & Four-Poster Beds

Period frames were never built for modern mattress sizes. We match their measurements so nothing overhangs or gaps.

Loft Conversions & Sloped Ceilings

Angled walls and low headroom? We shape the mattress to tuck neatly into the space.

Alcoves, Box Beds & Daybeds

Built-in and recessed beds measured to the millimetre for a seamless, wall-to-wall fit.

Round & Unusual Shapes

Circular, curved, cut-corner or tapered — if you can measure it, we can make it.

Oversized & Super King Plus

Wider, longer and deeper mattresses in sizes beyond the high-street standard.

Children’s Cabin & Bunk Beds

Safe, snug made-to-measure mattresses for cabin beds, mid-sleepers and bunks.

British craftsmanship

Handcrafted with the same materials as the luxury names

Every mattress is built from scratch using hand-nested pocket springs, natural fillings and high-density foams — the same premium components found in brands like Hypnos, Vispring and Harrison Spinks. We never trim down a standard size; yours is made for you, from the first spring to the final hand-stitched edge.

FAQs

Common questions about bespoke mattresses

What is a bespoke mattress?
A bespoke mattress is made to your exact measurements and shape rather than a standard size. We build each one by hand, from scratch, to fit your specific bed.
How much does a custom size mattress cost?
Price depends on the size, shape and comfort specification you choose. Use our quote tool for an instant guide, or send your measurements for a tailored price.
How long does it take to make?
Because each mattress is handcrafted to order it takes a little longer than an off-the-shelf one — we’ll confirm an accurate lead time when you place your order.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes. Every bespoke mattress comes with up to a 10-year guarantee for complete peace of mind.
Can you match an existing mattress’s comfort?
Usually, yes. Tell us about the mattress you have now and we’ll match the feel and support as closely as possible.
Do you offer a free measuring service?
We provide a free, easy-to-follow measuring guide so you can capture the right dimensions at home with confidence.
What sizes and shapes can you make?
Almost anything — unusual widths and lengths, round and curved mattresses, cut corners, tapers and angled edges. If you can measure it, we can make it.
